GreenFace A.S Lands in Ithanga!
Greenface Agroecology Services (GreenFace AS) is thrilled to announce the launch of an exciting new 3-year initiative: Green4Life, starting this July in Ithanga Location, Murang’a County!
This integrated pilot project is designed to spark social, economic, and environmental transformation for communities in Ithanga. Rooted in the pressing realities of climate vulnerability, land degradation, and food insecurity, Green4Life offers a bold, holistic response built on hope, resilience, and innovation.
At its core, Green4Life embraces the power of agro-ecological principles, renewable energy solutions, and inclusive enterprise to nurture both people and the planet.
Our Four Pillars of Transformation
- Green Environment
We are committed to restoring ecosystems through soil conservation, tree planting, and regenerative land use practices that heal the earth while empowering communities.
- Green Food
Through agroecology, we’ll promote climate-smart farming, indigenous crops, and diversified nutrition systems to ensure food sovereignty and long-term health.
- Green Energy
Harnessing solar and other clean energy technologies, we aim to reduce dependency on unsustainable fuels, lighting a new path for energy justice and innovation.
- Green Money
By nurturing local enterprises, savings groups, and green entrepreneurship, we will unlock income opportunities that are sustainable, inclusive, and community-driven.
A Community-Led Approach
Implementation will center around Village-Based Advisors (VBAs)—local champions trained to lead change from within. Our participatory model emphasizes local ownership, sustainability, and continuous learning.
Looking Ahead
Green4Life isn’t just a project, it’s a movement for resilience. One that reimagines the relationship between people, nature, and livelihoods. We are proud to walk this journey with the people of Ithanga as they lead the way toward a greener, more just future.
